John Hopfield receives Nobel Prize in Stockholm Princeton’s John Hopfield, the 2024 Nobel laureate in physics, received his Nobel Prize medal and diploma Tuesday, Dec. 10, at the Nobel Prize Award Ceremony in Stockholm. The Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences announced his Nobel Prize Oct. 8, and Hopfield returned from abroad to a hero’s welcome on campus three days later.
