Information About Postdoc Unionization

A group named Princeton University Postdocs and Scholars (PUPS-UAW) filed a petition on April 2, 2024, with the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) to hold an election to determine whether postdocs and associate research scholars should be represented by the International Union, United Automobile, Aerospace and Agricultural Implement Workers of America (“United Auto Workers”). The University respects the right of employees to unionize, and the Office of the Dean of the Faculty has decided to provide information and resources to postdocs and associate research scholars so they can make an informed decision about whether or not to choose to be represented by a union. These resources will be updated on a regular basis.
