The Onboarding Process Contact Your Home Department First things first, coordinate your arrival with your home department. In addition to the steps outlined here, they may have additional onboarding processes for you to complete. View an updated list of departmental contacts. Complete the I-9 Employment Eligibility Process As required by law, employees working in the United States are required to complete the I-9 process at the time of hire, rehire, or when their work authorization documents expire. New employees are required to complete the I-9 within three days of their start date. Human Resources representatives will be available on campus the week of January 16 to conduct the I-9 process for all employees (casuals, staff, DOF appointees): Tuesday, January 17 – 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM Wednesday, January 18 – 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM Thursday, January 19 – 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM Appointments are strongly recommended. Location: New South, room B10 (basement) Hours for the remainder of the semester are by appointment only, normally on Monday and Thursday mornings at New South, room B10. Employees were sent instructions (princeton.edu email) to complete the personal information (section 1) of I-9 in the Tracker online I-9 system along with the details to present their documentation to HR. Employees residing within the tri-state region (NJ, PA, NY) are required to complete the I-9 in person. Those who are approved to work fully remote outside of the region, may contact [email protected] to make alternate arrangements. Access Your Princeton netID and Email Account University accounts are set up for all University faculty and staff, and unlock access to technology services including University email accounts, the campus network, and more. The Office of Information Technology makes it easy to get started and offers tech support when you need it. Note that other aspects of the onboarding process are explained in important information that will be sent to your University email account. Upload Proof of COVID-19 Vaccination to VacStatus In order to ensure a healthy and safe work environment, Princeton University is requiring all employees to be fully vaccinated and provide proof of their COVID‐19 vaccine before their start date. Employees who cannot receive the vaccine because of a disability/medical contraindication or sincerely‐held religious belief may request an accommodation (e.g., an exemption) to this requirement. View complete details on the Princeton COVID Resources website. Get Your TigerCard (University ID) Your TigerCard establishes your affiliation with Princeton University and serves as a photo ID. In addition to serving as an ID, your TigerCard gains you access to: The Library The Athletics Department McCosh Health Center The Housing Office The Frist Campus Center Ticket Office Campus buildings and high security areas that are electronically secured Your TigerCard is also used as a debit card to pay for food or copy services. If you have completed the COVID training and are approved to work on campus, pick up your TigerCard at the TigerCard Office, part of The Service Point in New South. Manage Transportation & Parking Parking & Transportation Services offers essential information about getting to and around campus, including vehicle registration for parking permits. Be sure to check out the Revise Your Ride program, which offers enhanced benefits and incentives to participants in one of five alternate commuter programs: bike/walk, carpool, vanpool, transit reimbursement, or NJ Transit bus pass. Complete the University's Online Preventing Sexual Harassment Training All Princeton University faculty and staff are required to complete the University's online Preventing Sexual Harassment Program within 30 days of the start date. This 45-minute e-learning program provides information about University policies related to sexual harassment, campus resources, and each employee's reporting obligation. Employee Resource Groups Princeton's Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) are volunteer, employee-led organizations that bring together professionals from across the University based on shared interests and/or identities. ERGs are open to all employees, including postdocs. Campus Recreation Dillon Gymnasium, Rm 103[email protected] 9am-5pm, Mon-Fri Princeton takes a broad view of employee wellness, and offers access to numerous recreational opportunities both formal and informal.
