Dean for Research Peter Schiffer assumes role as vice president for Princeton Plasma Physics Laboratory

Peter Schiffer, Princeton’s dean for research and the Class of 1909 Professor of Physics, will succeed David McComas as Princeton University’s vice president for the Princeton Plasma Physics Laboratory,  a U.S. Department of Energy national laboratory managed by Princeton University.

Michael Blaakman, an associate professor of history, has been selected as a finalist for the 2024 George Washington Prize for his first book, “Speculation Nation: Land Mania in the Revolutionary American Republic.”
