Postdocs and associate research scholars to vote on unionization May 8-9

April 18, 2024

An election will be held Wednesday, May 8, and Thursday, May 9, at Frist Campus Center to decide whether postdoctoral researchers and associate research scholars at Princeton University will form an employee union, represented by the International Union, United Automobile, Aerospace and Agricultural Implement Workers of America (“United Auto Workers”).

In-person, secret ballot voting will be held both days from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. in Room 302 of the Frist Campus Center. An official University employee ID (TigerCard) or a government-issued ID with full name and photo is required to vote.

All full-time and regular part-time postdoctoral research associates, postdoctoral research fellows, associate research scholars, senior research assistants, and postgraduate research associates who were employed by Princeton as of the payroll period ending on March 19, 2024, will be eligible to vote.
